A couple of weeks ago, the warning light came on in my car letting me know I needed to put air in my tires. Which I did. The light didn't go off. I shrugged it off and assumed the light was broken. Last week I had the oil changed in my car. I will now reenact the scenario which took place at the oil change station:
Me: Could you check the air in my back passenger tire? I think it might be low, the light is on.
A few minutes later:
Valvoline Dude:uuuuuu ma'm, your light is on because you have a nail in your tire.
Me, responding very brightly:
Oh, that's why the light didn't go off.
This is why I have no business doing anything other than driving my vehicles.

Oi sorry man!!
That sucks!!!! I am pretty much the same!!!
You have a light that tells you when to put air in your tires?!?! Awesome!!! My car will pretty much let me run it on the rims if I want to.
Could you plug the hole with nail fill or did you have to buy a new tire altogether?
astarte-just had it plugged, it seems to be fine now.
I hate car trouble.
By the way, my son could help you change that tire...if you don't mind him hammering away on the undercarriage of your car.
LOL - I'm with Astarte
rofl--i want a light like that. i'm always surprised when the hubs says stuff like, uh, your tires are bald or you realize you're 500 million miles over due for an oil change, or your registration sticker expired last year. it's a car. i get in, drive it and sometimes put gas in it.
Just had a tire plugged here as well. I think all my tires have plugs in them. Not buying new ones either. It's a lease and going back in November. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I wish we had Fred Flintstone Mobiles.
HAHA I would have ignored it also and just assumed it was broken
Keep in mind, some would not have even mentioned it to Valvoline Dude.
At least you did that.
Hopefully they could just fix it.
